The Dallas Cowboys’ forgettable 2024 season has taken another hit, with All-Pro cornerback Trevon Diggs set to undergo season-ending surgery.
Per FOX Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer, Trevon Diggs requires surgery on his knee that will keep him out for the last four games of 2024. Diggs told reporters earlier in the week that he expected to play on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
The two-time Pro Bowler missed all but two games last year after suffering a torn ACL during a team practice. He missed two games this year to injury as well before news broke of his pending season-ending surgery.
DaRon Bland, who enjoyed a breakout 2023 season after Trevon Diggs’ season-ending injury, missed 10 games recovering from an offseason foot injury before debuting in Week 12 against the Washington Commanders.
Another Unfortunate Break For Trevon Diggs
After a strong performance over his first three NFL seasons, Diggs was awarded a lucrative five-year contract extension worth $97 million. Unfortunately, the two knee injuries have now limited Diggs to 13 total games since he signed that extension.
