The Green Bay Packers made the difficult decision to move on from Aaron Jones, the third-leading rusher in franchise history, this past offseason. Green Bay wanted Jones to take a pay cut down to $6 million, but the former Pro Bowl running back did not want to, as he had already taken a substantial pay cut to stay with the Packers in 2023.
The announcement of Jones’ release came hours after the team announced that they had signed 2022 NFL rushing leader Josh Jacobs to a four-year contract worth $48 million.
Jones, of course, subsequently signed with the Minnesota Vikings.
But while Jones is still incredibly popular among Packers fans, Jacobs is quickly becoming a fan-favorite himself thanks to his dominating performance this season and how good of a person that he is.
