Steelers to Send Justin Fields to the New York Giants in Blockbuster Trade

The New York Giants finished the 2024 season with a record of 3-14 and last place in the NFC East division. Defensively, the Giants were ranked 24 in total defense, giving up an average of 346.8 yards per game. A bright spot is their secondary. Offensively, the team has struggled also. They rank 30th in total offense, averaging 294.8 yards per game. They ranked 28th in passing yards per game, averaging 189.9.

They’ve had struggles at quarterback but adding Justin Fields can work well for them. The Giants can send a 3rd or 4th round pick to the Steelers for Justin Fields.

Why Justin Fields can be successful for the Giants:

Justin Fields went 4-2 as a starter for the Pittsburgh Steelers this season before Russel Wilson assumed the starting spot. In those six games, Justin threw for 1,106 yards and 5 touchdowns to 1 interception while carrying the ball 55 times for 231 rushing yards and 5 rushing touchdowns.

Justin is a dynamic quarterback whose elusiveness makes him a problem for defenses especially with the read option. With a good running game and offensive line, the Giants could do some damage with Justin Fields. Even with the addition of Fields, the New York Giants could keep Drew Lock as a backup.

With Justin Fields as the starting quarterback, the New York Giants can win 8 plus games in 2025.
