San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffrey revealed the things that kept him busy during the offseason.
Despite the team failing to make the NFL playoffs for the first time since 2020, the running back focused his energy on something productive.
In his latest Instagram post, the 28-year-old updated his 2.6 million followers on his current activities. Through a carousel of photos, McCaffrey revealed he had been spending time in the snowy mountains, enjoying the high altitudes while staying active.
Interestingly, the snaps also included behind-the-scenes glimpses of his recovery process as he tries to get back into the best shape possible.
Following his post, 49ers teammate George Kittle had a one-word reaction to get McCaffrey’s attention.
“First,” he wrote, indicating that he was the first to comment on his post.
Meanwhile, 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk also chimed in, encouraging the 49ers RB to embrace self-care and savor the moment.
“Treat yourself to a hot mug,” Juszczyk commented.
It can be recalled that the 49ers missed the playoffs after finishing with six wins and 11 losses in the NFC West, which placed them last in the division.
As for McCaffrey, he missed the first eight games of the season after he was diagnosed with bilateral Achilles tendinitis.
Although he returned to the field two months later, the running back suffered a posterior cruciate ligament injury during the 49ers’ matchup against the Buffalo Bills in Week 13, which kept him sidelined.
