The Buffalo Bills are one game away from their first Super Bowl appearance under the guidance of Josh Allen, and their boogie-man team, the Kansas City Chiefs, stand in their way.
With mistakes magnified in the postseason, this title game pits two of the best teams over the last two months at protecting the football against each other.
Just one combined turnover over the last eight games means that the turnover battle at Arrowhead will be a critical piece in determining who advances to the Super Bowl, and who sees their season end.
To get ready on Saturday, the Bills announced 3 updates as elevated are Kareem Jackson and Will Clapp, with in injury update as Baylon Spector has been downgraded to out.
Meanwhile …For CBS Sports, it will be the Bills who force that all-important turnover.
“Mahomes has 12 touchdowns and no interceptions since the Chiefs’ Week 11 loss at the Bills, including the postseason,” CBS Sports writes. “In that loss, Mahomes tossed two interceptions, tied for his single-game season-high in 2024. Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott and Co. are going to bait Patrick Mahomes into another back-breaking turnover on Sunday because of the adaptability of their defense. Expect the unexpected on Sunday in Kansas City, and Buffalo’s defense forcing Mahomes into committing a costly turnover.”
Under offensive coordinator Joe Brady, Bill’s offense has done a great job of protecting the football, and coming into Arrowhead against the Chiefs, it is important to do this again.
Given how of a well-oiled machine the Chiefs are, Josh Allen and Co. can’t gift them extra possessions as it won’t end well.
The Bills have a good chance to break through and make the Super Bowl finally, but only if they don’t turn the ball over.
With everything on the line, can they stick to what has gotten them to this point?
