On Jan. 14, an unidentified woman called the police and claimed that former Kansas City Chiefs wideout Kadarius Toney strangled her. The next day, a warrant was issued for Toney’s arrest. Then on Feb. 6, Toney was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and one charge of obstructing/harassing 911 calls.
Toney, 26, was released from Douglas County Jail (Georgia) the same day on $50,000 bail. As a court hearing approaches, there is a new development in the incident.
TMZ Sports has obtained the victim’s 911 call from the night of the alleged incident. In the dispatch recording, the victim revealed that Toney was her boyfriend, that they live together and they were currently in the middle of a dispute.
“He put his hands on me while I was holding my daughter and I’m seven-months pregnant,” the victim claimed on the morning of Jan. 14. The 911 dispatcher offered to call an ambulance but the victim clarified that she wasn’t experiencing contractions.
The victim also claimed that she had to run to her neighbor’s house barefoot to make the call. When officers arrived at the scene, the woman had red marks around her neck and hemorrhaging in her eyes.
Toney has yet to comment on the alleged incident.
After winning two Super Bowls with the Chiefs, the former Gator was released. Then in early September, the Cleveland Browns added the wideout to their practice squad for the 2024 season. After the Browns’ Week 11 loss to the New Orleans, Toney was waived. He enters the 2025 season as a free agent.
