NFL Scouting Combine 2025: Kansas City Chiefs Officially Meet With Toledo Star Prospect In Important Meeting

According to Sam McDowell of the Kansas City Star, the Kansas City Chiefs had a “formal meeting” with Toledo Rockets defensive lineman Darius Alexander this week at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana.Although the Chiefs don’t appear to be in the market to take a defensive lineman in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft, Kansas City’s front office continues to evaluate young, talented prospects who can impact defense.

During his session at the combine on Thursday, Alexander was unofficially timed at 4.95 seconds in the 40-yard Dash and 1.72 seconds in the 10-yard split.Alexander was a standout at the Senior Bowl in 2024. The defensive tackle collected 40 tackles, eight for loss, 3.5 sacks, and an interception. He was named Second-team All-MAC and started 12 games for Toledo.

Chiefs general manager Brett Veach has done well selecting prospects on the defensive line over the past few seasons. George Karlaftis, Mike Danna, and Chris Jones are notable draft picks that have helped Steve Spagnuolo’s defense become one of the best units in the league.
