It’s hard to say, at this point, why anyone would actually want to face the Kansas City Chiefs in a game of any meaning. For the third straight year, after all, the Chiefs are in the Super Bowl, having ground out a difficult win over the Bills at Arrowhead Stadium, 32-29. Still, don’t count the Eagles as scared.
At least not on social media.
Following the Chiefs’ win, the Eagles, who drubbed the Commanders, 55-23, in the NFC Championship game on Sunday afternoon, appeared to eb eager for the matchup against Patrick Mahomes and Co., who are seeking a first-ever Super Bowl three-peat
In a message on Twitter/X, the Eagles wrote, “Run it back,” a reference to the fact that the teams met in the Super Bowl two years ago, when the Chiefs beat Philly, 38-35, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

While much of the focus has been on Saquon Barkley’s monster season for the Eagles, the psotseason has also served as a validation for the much-maligned quarterback in Phildelphia, Jalen Hurts. Over the course of the season, he’s had frosty moments both with his head coach, Nick Sirianni, and his receivers.
Still, Hurts led the Eagles to 15 wins in their last 16 games, and three impressive wins to get into the Super Bowl. When the Eagles last faced Kansas City, a Hurts fumble led to a critical touchdown return for the Chiefs.
“I don’t want anybody else leading this team at quarterback other than him. He’s a winner,” Sirianni said. “Again, he deals with so much criticism which just blows my mind because of the questions I have to answer. I don’t look too much into that. The questions I have to answer it’s just like, man, this guy wins. He’s won his entire life.”
