BREAKING NEWS: Pittsburgh Steelers rule out three players for Bengals game, including promising rookie receiver

The Pittsburgh Steelers have ruled out three players against the Cincinnati Bengals. Wide receiver Roman Wilson, linebacker Cole Holcomb, and defensive lineman Logan Lee will all not play. None of those three players have a spot on the active roster and are instead in the middle of their 21-day windows to return from injury.

Wilson, Lee, and Holcomb are rather healthy, but there are no roster spots open for them now, and in Lee and Wilson’s cases, the Steelers really just want to give them experience in practice with live reps.

Wilson did say he felt better than he had nearly all season, and Lee’s calf strain had long been healed before he returned on Tuesday. As for Holcomb, it was a symbol of his journey being completed, even if he does not play this season.

Cornerback Donte Jackson is also questionable, as he has a pinched nerve in his lower back. As he continues to manage the injury, Jackson will have to play through pain or shut it down, as this issue will not resolve until he has lots of rest and rehabilitation.
