After an absolutely brutal start to the season, things might finally be turning around for the Dallas Cowboys. The playoffs are essentially off the table, but with three wins in the team’s last four games as franchise quarterback Dak Prescott sits out with a big injury, the players have the chance to finish the year strong and head into the offseason with their heads held high.
This week, Dallas picked up a nice road win over the Carolina Panthers, wrapping things up with a final scoreline of 30-14. Star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb had a great day, catching 19 passes from Cooper Rush for 116 yards and a big touchdown. However, not everything can go well at once for this team, apparently.
As Lamb left the field, he tossed what appeared to be his game-worn receiving gloves to a fan sitting above the tunnel. However, the souvenir doesn’t seem to have ended up where he wanted it to- check out the clip below.
Lamb shook his head as he walked away from the scene, after pointing around the section, seemingly trying to make sure the gloves ended up where he intended. He even walked back out in an attempt to rectify the situation, but ultimately decided to leave the situation to play out on its own.
It’s always nice to see stars do something nice for their fans, but it’s particularly unfortunate when these thoughtful gestures go haywire. Perhaps we’ll hear more about this fan- the game was in Charlotte, North Carolina, so it’s not clear if they traveled from the Dallas area or took the chance to watch their favorite team on the road. Maybe they’ll get a special gift from Lamb or the team, or tickets to a future game- it all depends on if they’re even able to be identified.
