Both the Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles are racing to have their key players back in time for their wildcard round clash – Jordan Love for the former and Jalen Hurts for the latter.

Love hurt his elbow and had numbness in his arm during loss to the Chicago Bears.

“They said it should [go away],” Love said shortly after the game. “They did. I’m not sure when, but it’s feeling better.”

On the other hand, Hurts has been out for the Eagles since the tail-end of December as he was put in concussion protocol while also dealing with a finger injury.

“Guys, he’s progressing through the protocol,” his head coach Nick Sirianni said three days ago about his star.

“We’ve talked a lot about that. I respect your questions. I’m going to answer them all, but yeah he’s progressing through the protocol.”

Jordan Love and Jalen Hurts might both be available

Wednesday practice came and both guys’ status appear encouraging for their respective supporters.

Love joined the practice although in a limited capacity according to his coach Matt LaFleur.

“We’ll see, yeah, I’m hopeful,” he said when asked about his availability for the Sunday encounter.

Hurts also participated in the Eagles practice and impressed his teammates with his form despite still being fresh from injury.

“Obviously he’s been limited physically with some of the stuff he can do,” offensive tackle Lane Johnson said.

“But I think he has been dialed in with what’s coming up in Green Bay. Today we had our first practice back. He was crisp, and efficient. We had a great practice.”
