The Pittsburgh Steelers are very interested in Kansas cornerback Cobee Bryant, according to Steelers Depot’s Josh Carney. Steelers Depot’s Joe Clark interviewed Bryant, who says the Steelers have interviewed him extensively during the Shrine Bowl.
Bryant is 6-foot-1, 171 pounds, so he is on the lighter side, but can play inside or outside. Known for having a chip on his shoulder and playing with a physical attitude, Bryant has risen up boards quickly and is expected to be a day two draft pick.
Bryant added that the Steelers ‘want dawgs’ and he is a ‘dawg’ so he thinks the fit is rather natural.
“They love dawgs. They bringing in dawgs, they want dawgs in their program. So, I’m a dawg,” Bryant said to Clark.
Bryant has been with Kansas since 2021, and is from Evergreen, Alabama. He played right away as a true freshman, making seven starts and racking up 22 tackles and two picks.
By the time his senior season ended, Bryant had made over 40 starts for the program and has 13 career interceptions, showing his ball-hawking skills that the Steelers love.
