Tom Pelissero Reveals What Brock Purdy Could Earn on a Contract Extension

San Francisco 49ers fans are already looking forward to the offseason and the 2025 campaign now that this season is practically over. With a 6-8 record, the Niners are virtually assured of not making the playoffs, and the question is what offseason moves will they make in an attempt to return to contender status next year.

The biggest domino to fall will be quarterback Brock Purdy’s upcoming contract extension. There has been plenty of speculation about how much he will get paid, and while some felt a few months ago his extension could reset the NFL’s QB market, some have more recently said Purdy isn’t worth $60 million a year or a figure close to that.

Per Tom Pelissero, Purdy is expected to be paid at the top of the market once he gets his extension this offseason.

Purdy has thrown for 3,174 yards, 15 touchdowns and nine interceptions while completing 65.0 percent of his pass attempts in 13 games this year. While his accuracy and touchdown percentage are down this season, he hasn’t played too much worse than he did last year when he truly emerged as a star.

Perhaps a season of better health from the Niners’ offense will result in him fully returning to form in 2025.
