The Philadelphia Eagles topped the Dallas Cowboys, 41-7, in a blowout to win the NFC East on Sunday. Philadelphia blew out the injury-riddled Dallas squad to lock up the divisional title at Lincoln Financial Field. It was a smooth game for Nick Sirianni’s squad, though it was a feisty one.
Late in the fourth quarter, a fight broke out near one of the tunnels at Lincoln Financial Field. Tensions had been escalating on the field for four quarters. It led to a major skirmish involving several players from both teams.
Three players ended up getting tossed from the game: Eagles safety Sydney Brown, and Cowboys wide receiver Jalen Brooks and cornerback Troy Pride Jr.
The three players were the only ones tossed from the game. However, the skirmish near the tunnel at Lincoln Financial Field involved several players from both teams. Players spilled out from the sideline and toward the tunnel, while officials attempted to break things up.
The NFL will be looking into the fight and, upon reviewing the video, could decide to further punish players or coaches who got involved and escalated the situation.
For the Cowboys, it’s not a big deal. Dallas is out of the playoffs and just playing for NFL Draft position. But for Philadelphia, it could hurt their chances at the top of the NFC. The Eagles have clinched the NFC East but are still in contention for the top seed in the conference, which would give them home field advantage.

yet to say if players like running back Saquon Barkley and quarterback Jalen Hurts, who missed Sunday’s game against the Cowboys, will be playing in Week 18.
“I always got to do what’s right for the football team to reach our goals of what we need to do,” head coach Nick Sirianni said Sunday. “Like I said, I got a lot to think about. We’re gonna enjoy this, and I’ll think about it tonight at some point.”
The Eagles have a lot to think about for Week 18, too, as Barkley is about 100 yards away from breaking Eric Dickerson’s all-time single season rushing record.
“I’m not overtly trying to go get it. I’m not scared of it. Like, I would love to [pursue the record], but at the end of the day, we’ve got bigger things we’re focused on,” Barkley said. “We were able to clinch the division right here. Whether we play next week or not and rest, I’m fine with that, too. I didn’t sign here just to rush for 2,000 or break a record. I want to do something special — meaning special with the team.”
The Eagles are set to play the Giants in Week 18. The Cowboys will end the year against the Commanders.
