Fresh off the final performance of her record-setting “Eras Tour” on Sunday, many likely expected pop star Taylor Swift to lay low for a while and spend plenty of time with her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Swift played more than 140 shows across five continents over the last two years, grossing more than $2 billion from ticket sales, making the “Eras Tour” the most successful concert of all time, so no one would blame her if she took some well-earned “me time.”
But instead, Swift chose to use her newfound free time to visit the Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City on Thursday, visiting with some of the patients, handing out copies of her “Eras Tour” book and signing autographs.
Swift also recorded a few videos during her visit. She celebrated one patient’s final day of chemotherapy in one, and she did a song-and-dance number with two other patients in another that went viral on X, garnering more than 855,000 views and nearly 40,000 likes.
In the 14-second TikTok, Swift hides behind a curtain before popping out to join two fans while singing and dancing to her hit song “Bad Blood.” The video was a hit on social media, with several people racing to the comment section to applaud her for taking time to really connect with her fans in the hospital.

“This is your feel-good moment of the day. @BigSlickKC @ChildrensMercy,” “Good Morning Football” host Peter Schrager wrote.
“There’s a reason Taylor Swift will always be my favorite. She truly has a heart of gold. Doing this after she just finished the biggest tour in history says a lot about her as a person. I just genuinely love her so much,” one fan responded. “Every time I think I can’t possibly love this woman more than I do I realize, yes I absolutely can!!!!” another added. “I friggin love her!!! She could be on a remote island on an extended holiday but here she is at Children’s Hospital making Tik Toks with fans,” a third fan remarked.
“So amazing she did this with them. What a moment to remember forever,” quipped one user. “How can you NOT love this woman?” asked another. “Okay her making a TikTok at the hospital with this fan she is visiting just gave me the biggest smile on my face. I have tears in my eyes,” one fan exclaimed. Chiefs fans will likely see Swift at next weekend’s home game against the Houston Texans. Kansas City travels to Cleveland this weekend to play the Browns, likely meaning Swift won’t attend one of Kelce’s games until closer to Chirstmas.
