NFL Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw isn’t convinced with the Kansas City Chiefs this season. Four-time Super Bowl champion is pouring water on Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs’ hopes of securing a historic Super Bowl three- peat.
On Fox NFL Sunday, Bradshaw expressed doubts about the Chiefs maintaining their dominance in the postseason.
“They’re not going to win three in a row,” Bradshaw said. “See how quickly they’re getting rid of the ball now? See how quick, quick, quick, quick, quick. I just think they’re gonna load up against a team like Buffalo, they’re gonna load up against a team like Baltimore, and those are the two teams that can beat them. And I think it’s gonna happen, even though it’s gonna be in Kansas City.”

Could the Kansas City Chiefs become vulnerable in their bid to attain a record three- peat?
Bradshaw’s criticism illuminates the Chiefs’ evolving offensive strategy, which now boasts quick, short-pass plays. While effective during the regular season, the 76-year-old suggests that top-tier defenses like the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens can neutralise Kansas City’s dynamic attack.
Despite Bradshaw’s concerns, the reality is that the Chiefs have had another stellar year. They finished the regular season with a 15-1 record, locking up the AFC’s top seed and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. Mahomes remains the orchestrator of their success, with 3,928 passing yards and 28 total touchdowns (26 passing and two rushing). Travis Kelce and DeAndre Hopkins have also been pivotal, combining for over 1,400 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.

History, however, is not on Kansas City’s side. Achieving a three-peat has
proven elusive. Even dynasties like the New England Patriots and Bradshaw’s Steelers fell short of attaining the elusive three-peat.
Bradshaw’s comments lay out the challenges ahead for the Chiefs, but Andy Reid’s team is no stranger to huge stumbling blocks en route to a Super Bowl-winning season. The Chiefs are blessed with a combination of talent and experience and teams would be foolish to overlook that.
“We know what’s at stake, and we’re preparing to meet every challenge
head-on. It’s about staying sharp and adapting when needed,” Reid said.
As the postseason looms, the Chiefs are poised to either make history or fall victim to the NFL’s gruelling playoff gauntlet. Whether Bradshaw’s prediction rings true will soon be determined on the field.
