Micah Parsons Set to Leave Cowboys for Bills in Blockbuster Trade

The Dallas Cowboys were riding a wave of momentum with three straight wins despite having Cooper Rush under center. That momentum was halted against the Cincinnati Bengals as the Cowboys lost and are now 5-7 on the season. Frustrations started to grow at the end of the game from star edge rusher Micah Parsons, and a trade could very well be on the horizon to the Buffalo Bills.

As time was running out, Parsons was visibly frustrated with the loss and walked off the field from the sidelines early. Parsons is fed up with the consistent losses from this Dallas team, and with a contract coming up it brings up the questions about his future in Dallas. With already giving Dak Prescott a $240 million extension, and CeeDee Lamb a $136 million extension, it makes it difficult for the Cowboys to truly give Parsons the contract he deserves. With having a roster with many holes, it would be wise for Dallas to trade Parsons to secure the draft capital needed to restart a rebuild, and get value while they still have him under contract.

The Bills have a winning roster, and are currently 10-3 with another AFC East division title secured. They have a star quarterback in Josh Allen that would fit the winning culture Parsons would be looking to join. The Bills have a strong roster, but in their three losses, and even a few wins, it is the defense that has been an issue.

The Bills defensive line is currently too reliant on Greg Rousseau, as the rest of the line has not been able to generate any pressure leading to 98 total on the season which is ranked 19th. As Von Miller continues to age and be a non-factor anymore, Buffalo needs to add talent to the defensive line to ensure they can generate pressure going forward and that the unit doesn’t hold them back for the future. With Parsons elite quickness off the line, and array of pass rush moves, he would be ideal opposite of Rousseau. Over his career, Parsons has 335 pressures, 53 sacks, and 154 stops. Parsons is among the best edge rushers in the NFL, and the Bills need that type of production to kickstart a talent infusion on defense.
